How to Get Involved

A critical component of the General Plan update is to create a plan that builds consensus and support from those who live, own property, or operate a business in the city. Public participation is designed to involve and capture all segments of the population. Your involvement is encouraged throughout the process through this website, public hearings, public workshops, and other venues. Planning is a collaborative effort. Make your voice part of the discussion.

Community Open Houses

There will be three community open houses at key points in the project: issues, assets, and vision; alternatives; and draft General Plan review. Each open house will include an opening presentation, Q&A session, and a series of informational and interactive stations. The information and activities used during open houses will also be available online at the project website.

General Plan Kiosk

The General Plan Kiosk, located at City Hall, will be used to provide timely information on the Update process, provide posters on current project developments, and provide some opportunities for interactive displays designed to gain community input. The Kiosk will also encourage residents to go online to the project website and use the online engagement tools.

Our online engagement section is still under construction. Once completed, community members will have the flexibility to participate in activities and provide input on key issues whenever and wherever is best for them.
